This week 401 people joined us at Worsley Woods to run, jog and walk the course, on a lovely sunny, warm spring morning in North West Manchester. As we were joined by 62 were first timers this week and representatives from 41 different clubs, it was noted how nice it was to have the opportunity to pass under the canopy of the trees. Despite the weather warming up as we head towards summer, 51 people recorded new Personal Bests and 8 people hit another milestone achievement.

parkrun is a real community event and one of the things that I particularly enjoy when volunteering is absorbing the community spirit and getting to know our regular participants, so it was amazing to see some of our regular participants getting back to better health and hearing uplifting updates about the recovery of one of our volunteers who has not been able to join us for a number of weeks.
Have you ever wondered what our core team get up to in between Saturdays? Well this week we teamed together to build the new kit storage container that many of you donated towards in celebration of our milestone events this year. Together we raised £200, so thank you so much for all of your donations. This will make life much easier putting the event on every Saturday morning now, as it provides us with a secure location in the vicinity to store much of the heavier pieces of equipment.
