What an fantastic week we had this week. We welcomed our new Run Director Rachael Manley, as we also hit our peak attendance for the year with 531 people who ran, jogged and walked the course and she did a stella job in what was not an easy week to take the reins for the first time. Unsurprisingly the high attendance was helped along by the Mile Shy Club, who not only supplied 30+ of our volunteers this week, but also contributed to the vast majority of our 160 first timers (you may have noticed a few bright yellow t-shirts out there today). Despite the higher than average numbers, an amazing 34 of you recorded new Personal Bests and we had representation from 32 different clubs.
Rachel Alves was first out on our course this morning to check that it was safe, if not dry - thank you Rachel for the early start and superb feedback. Whilst Mike Lilley came up in the rear, closing the event with me. The colours through the woods were beautiful this morning, as autumn really takes hold and the rustic brown and orange leaves fall from the trees and I really enjoyed the fresh air before the rain of the afternoon. I hope you enjoyed the course as much as I did.
