When and why did you first choose to volunteer with parkrun
Started volunteering back in 2012 (I think) and have volunteered 94 times in 23 different roles with a V index of 5. Started due to my MS limiting my fitness. Due to this and lack of allowed to drive have mainly gone to my home one, this being Bolton.
Which is your favourite volunteer role at parkrun?
First timers briefing but can only do that at only 2 different parkruns I know! After this, timing.
What would you say to someone who is unsure if volunteering is for them?
Go for it and if unsure start as a funnel manager of a place close to the finish as a marshal to see others in action in each role, as each role is different. Only got to doing all the roles that I have done by earlier this year.
What are you doing when you're not at parkrun?
Working in my Rock & Goth Plus shop or on the computer, with the occasional run out in the evening, as I used to be an active runner in a local club.
